Drop-off/pick-up site

Here are two pictures taken at the spot where we drop-off and pick-up Caitlin when she comes to visit. The picture above was taken for two reasons. First, Caitlin really wanted to have a picture of herself on our blog and second, we wanted to show you our new license plate, which shows our support for the Utah State University Aggies. As for the picture below, it is Jake with his new Nemo pen that he got at the halloween party the night before. Jake likes Nemo and he likes pens and so he is good to go.

Monopoly Champ

Caitlin was down visiting us and so the three of us played a game of Monopoly, in which Jessica ended up as the victor. While Caitlin and I were quick to clean up Jessica sat there for a while counting her money and being pretty proud of herself. So next time you talk to Jessica be sure to tell her great job because she earned it.

Mummified

We went to a halloween party and one of the games involved the kids wrapping their dads up like a mummy by using toilet paper. Jake liked it and caught on pretty quick, although he came in last. He was competing against some pretty advanced three year-olds, so what's a boy to do. We have since used all of the toilet paper to wipe our !#$*@.

Phobia Factor, Round 1

For those who don't know, I am involved in a local event called Phobia Factor, which mimics the T.V. show Fear Factor. If I win then Jessica and I get $5,000. For round one we had to drink a cup of whole milk mixed with apple cider vinegar that had been sitting out in the sun for several hours. It was chunky and gross, but that wasn't it. After we finished the drink we had to start chompin' down on butter. As you can see from the picture I did not quite finish the 3 pound container, but I finished enough to get to the second round. More details to come.

Extreme Makeover, Home Edition

ABC's Extreme Makeover, Home Edition has been in Logan this week so we decided to go check things out. As you can see from the picture above we saw Preston, but that was about it as far as the design team is concerned. Below is the new house that was built. The episode covering this makeover is suppose to air in late November so if you want us to remind you when it will be on T.V. just shoot us an e-mail or something.

Cut-outs at the Pumpkin Walk

So here we have Jake in some cut-outs of some of his favorite things, namely Clifford, an airplane, and Mickey Mouse. He didn't do so good at looking at the camera and smiling, but he enjoyed the trip to the pumpkin walk. Although we didn't take any pictures of the pumpkins, this years theme was musicals. Some of the scenes featured things such as Grease, Phantom of the Opera, the Rat Pack, Welcome Back Cotter, and even American Idol with Randy, Paula, and Simon.

Air Bryans...er, uh Jordans

I wanted to show everyone my first pair of Air Jordans, ever. I'm pretty excited about them. I probably wouldn't have even gotten them except that I really needed some new basketball shoes and I couldn't find any others that I liked the look of. Plus, I got them for about 65 bucks, which is about 15 bucks over what I like to spend for basketball shoes, but oh well. My old basketball shoes had holes in them and the soles were cracking and pieces were falling off. On a side note, check out that food storage. You should see the whole thing. It's pretty sweet.

Mohawk boy

Here Jake is sportin' a mohawk and wanted us to take a picture of him. He likes us to give him mohawks during baths and when we wet his hair down after he wakes up from naps with messy hair. Who knows, maybe with a little cut and style at the salon he might look pretty good with a mohawk?! Man I have written the word mohawk a lot in this passage.

Spaghetti or Bugatti?

Jake hasn't quite figured out how to say spaghetti yet, but bugatti works just fine, as that is the name of the fastest road production car out there right now. The Bugatti Veyron 16.4, which produces 1001 horsepower and reaches speeds of over 250 miles per hour would only cost you about 1.2 million dollars. Anyway, here is a little pic of Jake and dad eating one of several spaghetti noodles right before dinner.

the Jakester

Jessica thought Jake was looking cute in this picture so we decided to post it. He's a great kid and we love him.

Roommate reunion

Jessica was able to go out to California and visit some old roommates from when she attended the college formerly known as Ricks (now BYU-Idaho). Although the skies look sunny and warm in the pictures, apparently it was kind of chilly. Jessica reported that it was a ton of fun and they are already planning to do it again in 2 years!

Hitler as a toddler?

After a little lunch of chips, a whole polish sausage, and some peanut butter and jelly sandwich Jake is sporting a Hitler-stache.

Taking it easy

Jake can definitely make himself comfortable while watching the television these days. It's pretty impressive watching him watch a movie or TV show that he really likes. If there isn't anything else to catch his attention he'll never move.

Beater lickin' good!

Jake is showing you his willingness to help clean up after making cookies, cake, pudding, you name it. As you can see, he himself needs some cleaning up after he is done, but he doesn't mind.

ACN International Training

Reese and I got a chance to meet and have our picture taken with the top money earner in ACN, Mr. George Zalucki. Mr. Zalucki and his business partner, Art Napolitano, split over $500,000 a month in residual income, and then split a additional $100,000 minimum each month in bonuses.

Here was the members of our team at the Baltimore, Maryland ACN international training event, minus Lacey. From left to right is Brett, Reese, Bryan, and Mikel. Yes, we are all wearing white shirts and red ties.

Camden Yards (Baltimore, Maryland) and a boat

From left to right is Mikel, Bryan, Brett, Reese, and Lacey. It was the Orioles versus the Yankees and the Yankees lost, which is always good.

Dinosaur slippers

Jake has a sudden obsession with dinosaurs and so here he is with his new dinosaur slippers, which he loves. Jessica picked them up for him when she was out in California spending the weekend visiting old roommates she had while attending the college formerly known as Ricks, now called BYU-Idaho. Anyway, Jake is very good at recognizing and naming dinosaurs. He will probably be a dinosaur for Halloween this year.

Water Boy

Summer is almost gone, but here is a taste of what it brought us. Jake, our second child, loves playing in the water. Here he is in his swimming pool, but he was also a big fan of going to the public pool and playing in the wading pool and going down the slide. Jessica took him to swimming lessons also, which really seemed to help him get more comfortable with water.
